Family faces are magic mirrors.
Looking at people who belong to us, we see the past, the present, and the future.
A personal journey is part of the generational relay.
Live your legacy and then pass it on.
Who we are takes generations to create
and doesn't end with death.
It's important to teach our children their heritage. Who are your ancestors? What were their traditions? Each of us has a story to tell.
If these stories are unwritten, then how are your children going to know of their parentage?
What the next generation will value most is not what we owned, but the evidence of who we were and the tales of how we lived. In the end, it's the family stories that are worth the storage.
Few will have the greatness to bend history itself; but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total; of all those acts will be written the history of this generation.
A legacy is etched into the minds of others and the stories they share about you.
I am convinced that the greatest legacy we can leave our children are happy memories: those precious moments so much like pebbles on the beach that are plucked from the white sand and placed in tiny boxes that lay undisturbed on tall shelves until one day they spill out and time repeats (...)
The only thing of importance when we depart, will be the traces of love we have left behind.
